Have you ever wondered how to make yourself sick, so that you can bring out all that food you just bunged on? Do you constantly worry about gaining weight and are extremely conscious about what you eat? You could be suffering from an eating disorder called Bulimia.

It Affects You Bad

Do you think Bulimia is a good thing as you don’t have to worry about gaining weight and yet continue to eat all those desserts and fat-rich foods? Well, think again, because Bulimia can cause some serious damages to your body.

Here are a few ways in which this eating disorder can affect you:

As you get used to binge eating and then purging, your body will lose the tendency to control the food intake. It will not be able to tell you to stop when you have eaten your fill. As a result, you will see yourself eating more each time. the connection between your stomach and brain is compromised.

Purging

When you forcibly bring out all the food you just ate, you are putting your body under a lot of stress. The retching and vomiting can cause painful stomach spasms caused by the constant action of vomiting. It can also cause pinprick marks to appear on your face, as blood vessels burst when you forcibly vomit.

Can’t Eat

Even when you feel you have lost enough weight and want to stop this purging, you will be unable to. Over a period of time, your body will get tuned to throwing up all the food you eat. As this becomes the way to function, you will not be able to eat much or retain what you eat.

Deficiencies

When you keep throwing up all the food you eat, your body loses out on essential nutrients. Since you are not feeding your body with anything, your body’s stock gets depleted, and will eventually land you in a deficiency issue.
